Your awakening weapon still effects your succession damage but is not as much of a priority. This will give you a totally seperate skill tree that enhances your main hand skills and only has a few awakening skills. This makes it hard to trade with them and hard to kill.ĭark Knight Succession can be unlocked after level 56 after speaking to the Black Spirit and completing the Succession quest under the suggestions tab. They have skills which heal them and thse skills have Super Armor on them as well so they cannot be interupted. Berserker – Berserkers can be a tricky match up if you are similar gear because of their survivability.Using your Super Armor will be a lot more effective in this match up due to Maehwa not having a grab. Try to avoid using your awakening skill – Shattering Darkness (Shift + LMB) and Flow: Bombardment (LMB/ RMB) because they can easily dash around you and CC you. You want to try and get a Maehwa to engage on you and then CC and burst them down using your awakening skill – Flow: Spirit Blaze (Hotkey) and pre-awakening skill – Wheel of Fortune (Shift + F). Maehwa – Maehewa is a hard match up for DK because they have more mobility and also a lot of Super Armor and Frontal Guards in their awakening skills.Try to kite as much as possible and poke at them over time without getting caught out. You want to aim to stay at mid-range to long rage against them at all times unless they are CC’d. They are also harder to kite and have a lot of skills that can keep pressure on you. Even if you are able to knock them down you will find it hard to kill them. They have high Magic Damge Reduction and also Evasion which makes them very hard for you to damage. Striker/Mystic – Striker and Mystic are your hardest match ups as a DK.

Try to remain in Super Armor or Frontal Guard as much as possible because Witch has a lot of CC and if you are caught you will most likely die. You should also try to get behind them and CC them with your awakening skill: Spirit Hunt (W + RMB). Getting close to a Witch is the best position to be in. They have a long range knock up as well that you need to watch out for. They are considered slightly harder than Wizard because of their range advantage and block, which can make them harder to knock down. Witch – Witch is one of your main targets in most PVP situations. Also make sure you look out for them using Protective Area and disengage during this time. If you get too close use your iframes and super armor to keep your distance when they teleport into you. Don’t go into close range and make use of your mid-range skills to safely deal damage. Due to your mobility and range this match up should be quite easy. Wizard – Wizard is one of your main targets in most PVP situations.Strong against: Dark Knights are weaker/average in 1v1 situtations and most match ups of equal gear/skill will be hard. The class relies heavily on on their protected skills (forward guards and Super Armor) and kiting, whilst trading damage at close range. But they do have low defenses and can be somewhat of a glass cannon. They have very high mobility and plenty of AoE with fast clear speed, as well as high burst damage once awakened. She is often compared to the Sorceress class because of her dark magic and playstyle. The Dark Knight class uses melee range to slash at their enemies as well as dark magical mid-ranged spells. At level 56, the Dark Knight unlocks their awakening weapon which is a Vediant glove and allows her to use three swords with magic. The Dark Knight class uses a two-handed Kriegsmesser as their primary weapon and a Ornamental Knot as their secondary weapon (same offhand as Berserker). The class discords are a great place to start, most have their own guides and resources as well as plenty of skilled players willing to help with questions. You should really adapt the guide and follow your own instincts to match your play-style! I also highly recommend looking at as many different sources as possible and gathering as much information as you can about your class before deciding what is best for you and how you play. Remember that class guides are a rough explanation of the class, designed to give you an idea of the class and what you should be aiming for. (Some parts of this guide, such as succession skill descriptions are skill under development and will be coming at a later date, you can easily find this information in-game)
